Macworld 2009
Macworld 2009 is going on right now until January 8th 2009. This will be apples last appearance at macworld. Apple had their official keynote yesterday unveiling new software updates, a new upgrade to the 17 inch macbook pro, and new updates to iTunes.
first off the software updates. apple unveiled an update for iwork, and ilife being named iwork 09 and ilife 09 respectively.
iWork 09 has three parts to it:
Pages 09 which is apples version of Microsoft Word,
Keynote 09 apples version of Microsoft Powerpoint,
And Numbers 09 which contests you guessed it, Microsoft Excel.
All three components feature an overhaul of updates to their previous versions. Keynote 09 being my favorite. I haven’t demoed the 09 version but I do prefer keynote 08 rather than Powerpoint. With this apple also announced an iPhone app named keynote remote which is a remote for keynote where you can swipe pages through the iphone to advance through your slideshow among other things.
iLife 09 features five parts to it:
iPhoto 09, iMovie 09, GarageBand 09, iWeb 09 and iDvd 09.
One of my favorite updates to these programs is iPhoto 09 which now features new filters named “Faces” and “Places.”
Faces
• Lets you tag people in pictures
• iPhoto then goes through your pictures and takes guesses using advanced face recognition to tag the same person in every photo you like.
• If iPhoto cannot recognize someone then it suggests similar matches to facial similarities.
Places
• This feature uses data from GPS-enabled cameras or the camera on iPhone to categorize photos by location and convert GPS location tags
Online sharing
• iPhoto converts names you added using Faces to Facebook name tags without leaving iPhoto. (Pretty handy!)
• Sharing on Flickr is just as easy: Just click the Flickr button. When you share your photos on Flickr, the locations you added using Places appear on Flickr photo maps.
On GarageBand 09 you can purchase instrument lessons to help you learn how to shred on a guitar or play the drums like a pro. In a preview they showed Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy teaching viewers how to play the guitar! The lessons are laid out so it feels like Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero World Tour so its easy to learn the artist even talks you through it.
Apple also announced a new 17 inch macbook pro with a built in battery with the battery life lasting 8 hours. The new macbook also features the glass track pad and all the features of its smaller brothers.
Lastly Apple wanted to make all music DRM free and make iTunes available through EDGE and 3G connection and not just Wi-Fi.

this blog is a way for me to vent and let it out. it will probably filled with electronics news, gaming news, poems, art work, fashion, and daily musings and pointless observations and stories of things i do and think about.
Sometimes it wont make sense and will be filled with all sorts of grammar and English mistakes haha.. but hey.. nobody is perfect.
i started blogging when xanga was all famous and everyone had one.. but since i have shut that down and made a myspace.. but I also wanted to start a separate blog for nonsense.. I do write these things for my own enjoyment and pleasure.. but I also want to share certain whatever.. so i hope you keep reading and I hope you enjoy. [:
